Science education has entered a watershed period in this decade, which is beginning to impact the way sciences are taught throughout all of education.  Over the past three years, 18 of FIHE’s affiliated colleges have been involved in helping elementary teachers hone their skills to fit the new methodologies which can be described as: activity based using inquiry techniques, interdisciplinary and process oriented.  These projects indicate the commitment to public education and community service stemming from these institutions.
